Motorway Tuition.

After passing your driving test you will still have no practical experience of driving on a motorway. If you do not want to invest in a Pass Plus course, then consider our motorway lessons.
The lessons cover all aspects of motorway driving, both practical and theoretical. These lessons are a must for newly qualified drivers and also for experienced drivers who have never found the courage to venture onto the motorway. Discounts are available for all former Confidence students.

Eco-Driving.

Reduce fuel costs and emmissions. Develop your planning perception and anticipation skills to a high level.

Refresher Courses.

People need refresher lessons for a variety of reasons. Maybe you haven't driven for years but now your circumstances have changed and you have to. Perhaps due to bereavement or divorce or maybe you have just lost your nerve due to an accident.
Whatever the reason I will tailor a course that fits your requirements and get you back on the road again. Recently I provided refresher training to an 84 yearold gentleman who regained his confidence to cope with driving again. You are never too old.

Pass Plus

The Pass Plus scheme is a Government backed scheme aimed at reducing the number of accidents amongst new drivers.
The course consists of six one hour lessons after you have passed your test. Normally it has to be completed within one year of passing the test. The greatest benefits however are obtained by starting shortly after your driving test.
The subjects covered on the Pass plus Course are: Town Driving, All Weather Driving, Rural Roads, Dual Carriageways, Motorways and Night time driving.
There is no examination at the end of the course, but your instructor has to certify that your driving has been of a satisfactory standard.
On completion of the course you will get a form signed by your Instructor which you will be able to send off to obtain a certificate from the Pass Plus unit.

The Test

The practical test now includes eye sight check, vehicle safety questions (available on the DSA website) and the actual driving. The test costs £62.00 for a weekday test before 4.30pm.
You need to be able to read a number plate at 20.5metres, you will be asked 2 questions about vehicle checks, and then the drive. The independant drive will last for about 10 minutes and includes 1 manoeuver and on 1 in 3 tests an emergency stop.
To pass the practical test you must not make more than 15 driving faults and must commit no serious or dangerous faults.
